Wang Ziquan's art practice and research usually take place simultaneously, and the images he collected on a daily basis form an information production line. There is always a disassociation between the artist-built virtual world and the real life space. If we ask what is the absolute way to a valid artwork, his answer is to create a new system: allowing the software-generated visual effects and manipulation to intervene in the physical world.

 

Genderless makes visible the layers of information nested beneath the surface through a meticulously polished act of dematerialization. The fluid body of the androgynous, the external simulation of breathing equipment, the constant tension of forces and emotions.
